Magna Carta > Gruul!

Well, it's been awhile eh? Almost a month! I haven't had the time to write much lately. I find now that I'm running my own kickass guild (Magna Carta) I spend 99% of my free time administrating and/or scheduling and/or prepping someone or something guild related.
I never knew running a guild was this much work! It smacked me in the face like a Pythonesque fish a few days ago, when I found myself logging in just to network and talk to people and plan raid things. Arena? No! Heroics? PSSHHH! I have to armory that new guy and see if he's ready to raid, and talk to those guys that are upset about something or other, comfort the Prima Donna of the guild, and worry about needing more healers.

But it's worth it! We took down High King Maulgar, and Gruul on our first trip to Gruul's Lair! We had to pug a 3-4 people this time, but soon we should have a full 25 raid of our own guildies.
We have also been trying out SWAPS as a loot system, it's pretty nifty. The addon is wicked cool...even if I didn't want to use the point system, having an addon to handle rolls is just handy.

Magna Carta > Akil'Zon

Second try in ZA, first try at Big Bird. So far we're 2/6 in ZA now. Almost got the bear boss under 20 mins! We were just a hair off yet again! Grrrrrrr...

Magna Carta > Nalorakk!

Our first time in ZA as a guild, we pug'ed two mages and took our fresh-70 Rogue Trozdor (with not an epic on him) and we one shotted Nalorakk! AWESOME!
I tanked him in troll form with my warrior. Until recently my warrior didn't have any prot gear, 3 weeks of intense grinding now has him up to 15k hp, 16.2k armor, 19/17/26 dodge/parry/block. A pox on the lazy bums who don't do heroics and wait for Kara to get their gear!

Oh, and our rogue went from a green AH belt to: [Bladeangel's Money Belt]. Not too shabby.

Magna Carta!

Unfortunately, the time came for me to leave Opera Baroque. I grew with the guild: Helping gear everyone up and getting geared myself, the second Kara team's first full clear, taking our first steps into 25 man raids with Gruul's Lair.

I left because of personal reasons and a few conflicts within the guild, but ultimately I just found myself heading in a different direction than Opera. Now me and a few friends have started up our own little guild, with the focus on getting into Zul'Aman. We had our first official Magna Carta run of Karazhan last night! I have been playing my warrior, and last night was also my first time tanking Nightbane as well as my second time with Prince. It was very much an exciting night for me!

I am still jinxed with no tanking drops. My second to last Kara trip produced no tanking gear of any sort, and this one was noticeably sparse as well... But I did get my [Warbringer Greathelm]!

I can only ride it in Ahn Quiraj, but still...it's pretty darn cool!
A bunch of guildies all came down to the Temple of Ahn Quiraj for a bit of old fashioned fun. We had no problem downing the trash, although the first boss trumped us with his mind control and cloning tricks. We decided to call it quits after we wiped on The Prophet Skeram, since we only had two tanks. Due to the fight strategy you need more tanks, even though we are all level 70.



I guess this is technically our new guilds first raid as well, since we did this before Kara! Congratulations Magna Carta!
And congratulations to those who got their [Yellow Quiraji Resonating Crystal]!
